Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia: Peru is sick
If there is something that characterizes the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, #1 in the Sunedu (National Superintendency of Higher University Education) ranking, it’s its powerful reputation for excellence in medicine.
However, today the university faces the challenge of expanding into careers other than medical sciences. To break the preconception that it is “a university only for medicine”, we developed a strategy where the patient to be treated is no longer just a human being, but a whole country: "Peru is sick, but to cure it, medicine is not enough".

This is a patient in intensive care, with symptoms such as corruption, domestic violence, attacks on the environment, mercantilist mentality, social polarization, etc. To help cure it, Cayetano Heredia today teaches new courses with the same rigor, prestige, and academic excellence as its Medicine program.
